Last week, I made Baby #4 (still no name) a patchwork blanket that I hand stitched. The fabric is from a La Petite École charm pack by French General (I picked out the boyish prints). The dark red back is a Moda minkee from a local quilt shop.
I made a similar blanket for Kalei's birth, but this time, I decided to hand stitch the back and front together. I used Anna Maria's helpful tutorial on how to hand stitch.

It was a lot more therapeutic than I thought it would be. Want to make another one.
Oh how beautiful and great for a boy. The fabrics are gorgeous, they don't look it when you see the top of a charm pack, but they are so nice...
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool quilt. It's been awesome watching your love for sewing and creating beautiful things grow and grow these past years. You live to create, and that's inspiring! Congratulations on baby-to-be, too!
