Our Fourth of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend with my dad, stepmom, brother, and his family. It was awesomely awesome to watch the cousins play, sit and eat outside, and do some fun activities with the kids.

We've lived in Utah for almost 7 years now and this was our first time to Hogle Zoo. It was of course fun for the kids, for the adults, a little more daunting and we had all been to more "exciting" zoos. But it wasn't bad. The park is under renovation, and it is situated on a mountain slope, so be prepared for a little exercise. (Yes, that's exercise to me.)  Luckily, it was an overcast day in the morning when we went. By 1pm as we were leaving, it was sunny and hot and we were happy to be leaving.

We also had dinner with our friends, the Tokis, on our way home. They have the cutest kids and our kids had a ball playing with their old friends. Here are a couple of shots I snuck during lunch...
